Campbell Fry is a singer-songwriter based in Newcastle, NSW.
Campbell Fry's shows are gentle enough to talk over, but worth listening to closely. The Newcastle singer-songwriter plays acoustic guitar, moving between fingerpicking, country strumming, funky chords and bluesy lead lines, and a loop pedal adds a backing layer on some songs. His versions of well-known tracks span the 60s to recent hits: Stand By Me, Never Tear Us Apart, Big Jet Plane, Use Somebody, Human Nature and Thinking Out Loud, with Imagine and some Beatles too. A few originals go in where they suit. He brings a PA that handles medium to large rooms, adds a speaker for very big spaces, and can hire a battery PA if there's no power. Campbell is covered by public liability insurance and travels as far as 200 km, so the Hunter and both coasts are in range.
