Brett Franke

A 12-string acoustic guitar sits at the centre of Brett Franke's sound, and it gets a lot of work. His songs are originals, foot-stomping blues roots with a grunge edge, and the set mixes those with some covers. He plays alone, or brings in a duo or trio line-up with bass and hand percussion when you want more drive behind the rhythm. A night runs as three 45-minute sets. It's music that pulls attention toward the stage, so it fits a pub or a backyard party with a crowd happy to stomp along. He needs power at the stage and, outdoors, cover or shade. He's based in Macedon, holds public liability insurance and travels nationwide.
