Bret Mosley

Bret Mosley plays Americana that borrows from folk, rock, R&B and country without settling on one, shaped by a road that ran from a small Texas desert town to the indie scene in New York. The set is mostly his own songs, plus a few re-imagined covers he calls un-covers. He has more than 2,000 headline dates behind him and has opened for The Blind Boys of Alabama, Trombone Shorty, Jackie Greene, Ivan Neville and George Porter Jr. In Australia he's shared stages with Tex Perkins and Ian Moss, played Nukara Music Festival and drawn capacity crowds at Blues at Bridgetown. His debut release is Light and Blood. It's a show for people who came to listen. For drive-to gigs in the eastern states and SA he usually supplies PA and lights himself, and a slightly raised stage suits him better than floor level. He holds public liability insurance.
