Brendan Wakely's sets come in 45-minute blocks, though the timing can be worked out to suit your event. The Devonport singer-songwriter plays acoustic guitar and moves between pub and club covers, Top 40, Irish music and original blues and roots songs. There's a quieter side too: instrumental guitar that works as ambience in a cafe or restaurant, plus instrumental Christmas music for the holiday season. St Patrick's Day is an obvious booking. Brendan's song Call It What You Want took second place at the 2020 Voyager International Songwriting Contest, in its blues and roots section. A standard PA set-up does the job, adjusted to the venue. Brendan holds public liability insurance and takes gigs right across Tasmania.
