Bourdon River

Bourbon River play Australian pub rock covers, the songs everyone knows, plus plenty of others chosen to pull people onto the floor and hold them there. It's a four-piece. Drummer Rod Gillard formed the band, chose most of the set list and plays to whoever is in front of him. Rick Williams is on bass and is fussy about tone. John Girvin plays lead guitar, sticking close to the original solos, and also sings. Singer and guitarist Darren Wombey joined more recently, with a big vocal range and plenty of Sydney stages behind the voice. They're a good call for a pub gig or a birthday party where people want to dance.
