Botian Music is a solo pianist and singer based in Burwood, NSW.
Soft for dinner, livelier once the bar fills up: Botian Ye sets his energy by the room. The Sydney keyboard player and singer works a piano-led mix of English pop, Australian favourites and selected Chinese pop, which suits multicultural community events and night markets especially well. Expect songs like You're the Voice, Yellow, Never Tear Us Apart, Photograph, Don't Look Back in Anger and Talking to the Moon. For a fuller sound he switches to an arranger keyboard and plays as a one-person band. He needs about 2 by 2 metres, a power point and cover from the weather outdoors, and set-up takes 10 to 25 minutes. He can bring a compact PA or use the venue's, is public liability insured and travels up to 50 km from Burwood.
