Blues Brothers Tribute Sydney is a tribute band based in Sydney, NSW.
The night comes in two halves. It opens with an hour of soul and R&B classics, Wilson Pickett, The Four Tops and The Temptations among them. After that, on go the black hats and dark glasses, and Shane (as Jake) and Chris (as Elwood) bring back the Blues Brothers, songs, dance moves and all, straight from the 1980 film. There's a lot of hand-clapping and it's made to get people up, so it fits a party or a lively work function. Three formats are on offer. The pair can work with backing tracks alone, or bring in live keys, bass and drums. For the biggest version, a six-piece band backs them, with guitar and two horns on top of that rhythm section, plus a female vocalist and a male backing singer. Sydney is home.
