Blooze Bus

Amplified harmonica is the first thing you'll notice about Blooze Bus. The Darwin duo takes its cue from Chicago blues, with Geoff Howells on harp, vocals and guitar, and Jon Veverbrandts playing lead and slide guitar and singing too. Slide and acoustic guitar sit under the harmonica, and each set blends blues with rock and country, plus a bit of folk. They've played together for three years, and for the last two they've been gigging steadily. Two players and a harmonica can carry a bar or a courtyard without swamping it, and that raw, bluesy sound suits a crowd happy to stand around with a drink and nod along.
