Ben Russell from Empowerment-Ed

Healthy, respectful relationships sit at the centre of much of Ben Russell's work, whether the room is full of students or staff. He's an educator and a registered Queensland teacher who directs Empowerment-Ed, which designs wellbeing and leadership programs for schools and organisations. His keynotes also cover building leadership capacity, self-improvement, driving cultural change and handling digital life with confidence. Student leadership has its own session, Answer the Call, and any cohort can have a keynote written for it. The approach is personal and hands-on, pairing research-backed strategies with practical tools people can use afterwards. Formats scale from a short keynote to a half-day workshop, a full facilitated day, a PD masterclass or a small group session. A microphone is needed, and AV helps. He works from Brisbane, goes anywhere in the country, and holds public liability and indemnity cover.
