About
BARS is a cover band based in Cheltenham, VIC.
Singer and guitarist Sarah leads BARS, and her voice is soulful with a character all its own. The Melbourne band plays pop, rock 'n' roll, soul and reggae, older hits next to newer ones, so Bob Marley's Is This Love, Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode and Amy Winehouse's Valerie can share a set with Crazy in Love, The Black Keys and Angus & Julia Stone's Campfire. Line-ups run from a duo to a five-piece, and wedding bookings can cover the ceremony and canapes as well as the reception. Big stages include AAMI Park, Sandown Racecourse and the MCG, and they've been on Australia's Got Talent, plus the St Kilda Festival, the Mornington and Mordialloc food and wine festivals and the E.J. Whitten Legends match. Cheltenham is home, and they travel Australia-wide.
