Barry

Barry's show is 70s classic rock and West Coast rock, the smooth, harmony-rich side of the decade, and he's been taking it to audiences for close to 20 years. It's music for a crowd that grew up on those records and likes hearing them sung well. His own story starts in Blenheim, New Zealand, playing rhythm guitar and singing in local bands. In Wellington he formed Simple Image, who had a number one with Spinning, Spinning, Spinning. After crossing to Sydney he toured with Bakery and Supermarket, then led The Barry Leef Band, which spent many years as the resident band of The Sydney Musicians Club. You may know the voice already, because he's sung on hundreds of TV and radio ads. His album Rhythmized, produced and arranged by Kere Buchanan, has had smooth jazz airplay around the world.
