Azure is a musical duo based in Brisbane, QLD.
Azure keep things acoustic and unhurried: Sally's bluesy, jazzy vocals over Yuri's jazz and blues guitar. The set moves through standards like Misty, Summertime and Angel Eyes, blues such as Key to the Highway and Stormy Monday, plus soul, a little Johnny Cash and Norwegian Wood. Sally fronted her own resident lounge band in five-star hotels across Asia, and Yuri, born in Indonesia, has played international jazz festivals. It's a relaxed sound for a cocktail hour or a dinner that wants some polish. Plan on one, two or three 40-minute sets. They supply their own PA and lights, and power helps but isn't essential. From Brisbane, they reach the Gold and Sunshine coasts within 200 km, and carry public liability insurance.
