August West is a musical duo based in Brisbane, QLD.
August West can play a wedding in two places. A battery-powered rig means one set-up at the ceremony spot and a second for canapés, even where there's no power. The Brisbane duo sing and play acoustic, with some looping, across songs from the 50s to now: Can't Help Falling in Love, Banana Pancakes, Budapest, Dreams, Folsom Prison Blues, Dancing Queen, Black & Gold and Alaska. Packages follow the day, from pre-ceremony music, the aisle walk, signing songs and the exit song through to canapés and dinner, and they'll learn your special songs for those moments. All gear and lighting comes with them, and they're on site well before the start, sometimes a full 90 minutes ahead, so the sound check is done early. Between them they've played more than 500 gigs. Both members are insured for public liability, and the duo will go as far as 500 km.
