About
Audrey & Jake is a musical duo based in Brisbane, QLD.
Audrey sings and Jake plays acoustic guitar with two stomp boxes under his feet, one kick and one snare, so the duo gets a drum beat without a drummer. A harmony pedal adds extra vocal layers to the choruses. The set leans on 60s to 90s classics with modern pop mixed in: Dreams, Brown Eyed Girl, Smooth Operator and Isn't She Lovely beside Riptide, Watermelon Sugar and Painkiller. They play 45 to 50 minute sets with 15 to 20 minute breaks, and a playlist runs through their own sound system during the breaks, so the room never falls silent. They'll learn new songs for you, and quickly. Allow 30 minutes to set up and pack down, plus one power outlet. The pair met studying music at the Conservatorium, gig regularly across South East Queensland and will travel anywhere in Australia.
