Art Cooper

Two years in the shearing sheds of western Queensland shaped the songs Art Cooper plays now. He spent the days on the stands and the nights playing outback pubs, and the characters, the country and the dry humour he met out there run right through his writing. What you get is a solo singer-songwriter with a distinctly Australian sound, where the stories carry as much weight as the tunes. He's based in Brisbane. He suits a venue or a pub session where people will actually listen to the words between rounds.
