Country, indie folk, rock and pop all feed into Archer Courtney's songs, and the voice is soulful enough to carry them. Archer sings with self-accompaniment on guitar, and the guitar playing is strong enough to lift a crowd onto its feet when the set needs it. So one booking can do two jobs: gentler, melodic songs early on and something with more drive later. It's a flexible solo act for a Hobart pub, a garden party or a relaxed wedding where the music should feel personal. Archer is based in Hobart, Tasmania.
