April Cello

With an electric cello and a loop station, April Cello stacks layer on layer of strings until one player sounds like a small ensemble. It's a romantic, modern sound built on love songs and sweet pop from The Beatles, Vance Joy, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, Jason Mraz, Ed Sheeran and Colbie Caillat, and a wedding ceremony is where it shines. She covers arrivals, your chosen songs for the entrance, signing and exit, then a short set after, and a longer package keeps her playing through canapes. For a duo she teams up with singer and guitarist Yvonne. She has more than a decade of weddings and corporate events with string ensembles behind her. She needs power within 40 metres and shelter from rain, wind and heat, and a change of spot mid-booking takes up to 15 minutes. Based in Camden, she travels statewide and is insured.
