Apollo Strings is a string quartet based in Sydney, NSW.
Book Apollo Strings for a church wedding and they'll suggest an hour and a half, while a civil ceremony usually needs up to an hour. The Sydney quartet likes to start playing as guests arrive, roughly 15 minutes before the bride walks in, and can carry the music on through the drinks reception. For the processional you might pick Pachelbel's Canon or have your own song arranged for strings, and they're happy to arrange other requests too. Beyond the classical favourites, the repertoire takes in tango, Latin, cool jazz and upbeat world music. The line-up can also shrink to a more modern guitar and violin duo. Award nights, corporate events, concerts and recitals are part of their work as well.
