Andy Abra is a singer based in Wollombi, NSW.
Andy Abra has a big, deep voice and a set built on Johnny Cash songs and his own originals. Around that he plays outlaw country, blues and roots from Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Steve Earle, Tom Waits and John Prine, with Slim Dusty, Redgum and John Williamson for the Australian side. He's equally handy on acoustic and electric guitar. Line-ups run from Andy alone to a duo to his Big River Band. On the smaller line-ups he uses a loop pedal to fill out the sound, and the mood can be mellow background or a proper party starter. He brings his own PA and prefers a covered spot outdoors to keep the gear safe from weather. Andy is based in Wollombi, NSW, and travels nationwide.
