Allan Watts Blues Band play Texas blues with a hard edge, three musicians from the NSW South Coast who keep it professional without polishing the grit out of it. Allan fronts the band on lead guitar and vocals, with detailed, riff-heavy playing and punchy singing. Underneath, Steve Gordan's bold bass slap and John 'Trappa' Trevena on drums keep the crowd moving. The covers take in Stevie Ray Vaughan's Cold Shot and Tin Pan Alley, ZZ Top's Tush, Sweet Home Chicago, Little Red Rooster, Dust My Broom, Freddie King's Hide Away, and Red House, Little Wing and Purple Haze from Jimi Hendrix, alongside originals. It's a set for blues and rock fans at a pub, a club or a festival. The band brings all its own gear to venues within driving distance and travels nationwide.
