Aliah Banchik

Sharks, science and thinking differently meet in Aliah Banchik's talks. She's a marine scientist with a background in shark research and underwater storytelling, and viewers may know her from the Netflix series All the Sharks. On stage she speaks about neurodiversity, with a focus on ADHD and dyslexia, drawing on lived experience and a good dose of humour to break down stigma. Her message is that a mind that works differently can be a strength, and that curiosity and resilience grow out of it. She's a TEDx speaker and has featured in national campaigns. Talks suit schools and universities, workplace diversity and inclusion sessions, science events and youth summits. Aliah is based in Sydney and travels nationwide.
