Alexis Star

Alexis Star keeps an ear on the sound all night, setting up for the room and adjusting the volume as the energy shifts. Book her solo, or solo with DJ for the ceremony and canapés, ceremony through reception, or the whole night. She sings her own takes on folk, indie, pop and rock hits from the 70s to now, by artists like Fleetwood Mac, Alanis Morissette, Vance Joy, Bruno Mars, U2 and Nelly Furtado, alongside uplifting songs of her own. Two decades as a solo acoustic artist and backing vocalist in Sydney came first, along with two albums of originals. Since 2018 she's toured the country from a van. Indoors she needs easy access to power, and outdoors her own amplification runs for up to six hours. She's on the Gold Coast, travels up to 200 km and holds public liability insurance.
