Alan Duffy

Life beyond Earth is one of the big questions Dr Alan Duffy takes on as a speaker, and as an astrophysicist he's well placed to. His talks cover astronomy and technology, and they reach into artificial intelligence, working with huge amounts of data, and the ethical questions new technology throws up. That means a room of tech people can get as much out of him as a room of space fans. He'll also bring it back to the night sky, which everyone in the audience has looked up at. His stages have included the Sydney Opera House, and when Neil deGrasse Tyson came to Melbourne, Alan was the opening act. He's based in Victoria.
