Aden and Simon is a musical duo based in Adelaide, SA.
Two guitars and a loop pedal give Aden and Simon a bigger sound than you'd expect from a duo. They build layers live, acoustic and electric together, under strong vocals and harmony. The songs run from the 1950s to now, but they steer away from the tracks every function plays, picking less-heard songs by familiar names like John Mayer, Counting Crows, Ed Sheeran and Elliott Smith and rearranging them in their own style. Need more? Keys, drums and extra singers can join to make a band of three, four or five, and a handpan player is available for quiet moments. Their own QSC sound system comes with them. Allow about 2.5 by 2.5 metres, a power point close by, roughly an hour for set-up and 30 minutes for pack-down. The Adelaide duo travels up to 200 km and holds police clearances and Working With Children Checks.
