Abigail Wighton

An acoustic guitar and a sweet voice are all Abigail Wighton needs. She's an indie-folk singer-songwriter based in Sydney, on Wangal land, and she's been performing for more than five years. Her covers take songs from Olivia Rodrigo, Elvis, Taylor Swift and The Beatles and give them a folk-pop treatment, so a room gets familiar tunes in a gentler form. She's opened for Fanny Lumsden. That soft, folky sound suits a garden ceremony, an afternoon at a winery or a relaxed engagement party where people are talking and the music sits nicely underneath.
