Aaron J Woolley is a musical soloist based in Perth, WA.
Aaron J Woolley keeps things laid back but danceable, and he changes guitars to change the mood. There's a Taylor acoustic for fingerstyle, metal-bodied resophonic guitars for bottleneck, and an electric. Some songs are just guitar and voice with a stomp box for the beat, while others get very light backing tracks. The set leans on Cat Stevens, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Paul Simon and Dire Straits, and there's some country, folk and roots blues in the mix too. His band history goes back decades. In the 80s he started the classic rock band ICE, and later Kokomo, a cabaret outfit that settled in for long runs at Hillarys Marina's cabaret lounge and at Burswood's casino. From 1994 he performed solo across the UK and Europe, coming home in 2001. He's a relaxed choice for a wedding or a corporate function in Perth.
