80's Anthems is an 80s cover band based in Gold Coast, QLD.
Spandex and glitter tops are encouraged. 80's Anthems play the keyboard and guitar pop of that decade, with songs like Come On Eileen, Faith, Summer of '69, Electric Blue and Flame Trees, plus music from Cyndi Lauper, Culture Club, Queen, Bon Jovi and Whitney Houston. The core band is a duo or trio, and you can add a saxophone, extra singers or a brass section. They'll play a cocktail set or two if your night starts early and dressier, then turn it into a dance party. All sound and lighting comes with them. A stage helps but isn't needed; allow about 12 by 8 feet. They usually arrive around 6pm, can come earlier, and are used to keeping inside council noise rules. The Gold Coast band is insured and travels nationwide.
