70s West Coast

Listen to the Music is what 70s West Coast call their show, and it sticks to the sound of 1970s California. Think Steely Dan and the Doobie Brothers, James Taylor, Daryl Hall and Boz Scaggs, then Crosby, Stills and Nash, the Eagles, America, Pablo Cruise and Seals and Crofts. Barry Leef, a session vocalist, fronts the six-piece and shapes the whole production. Peter Northcote plays lead guitar as music director, and Sydney studio players fill out the band. Expect three-part harmony from the first song to the last. Rikki Don't Lose That Number sits beside Summer Breeze and Lowdown, and you'll also hear Ventura Highway, Rocky Mountain Way, Your Smiling Face and Long Train Runnin', with visuals on stage setting a Californian mood.
