60s Soul And Motown Tribute Show is a tribute band based in Brisbane, QLD.
Respect, in Aretha's version, is on the list, and so is Signed, Sealed, Delivered. This Brisbane tribute recreates 60s soul from the Motown and Stax/Atlantic labels, with an eight-piece line-up of lead and backing singers, keys, guitar, bass, drums and horns. The repertoire leans on Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Martha and the Vandellas, Marvin Gaye, James Brown, The Temptations and Stevie Wonder. Expect fast dance-floor numbers like Rescue Me and Dancing in the Street, and slow burners such as I Never Loved a Man. The players are trained musicians with backgrounds in touring shows, theatre and other tribute productions. The music reaches teenagers as easily as people who first heard it in the 60s. The band plays corporate and private events around southern Queensland.
